Job Description:
· Assists in preparing and reviewing scope of works specific to general electro-mechanical projects in the Region; assists in reviewing designs, drawings and specifications of electro-mechanical equipment and systems
· Analyzes operation of electro-mechanical projects and optimizes the performance of systems and equipment and assists in preparing work schedules and time tables for concerned projects and follows-up as required
· Reviews drawings, advises management on acceptance of new buildings and follows up in order to resolve issues/concerns relating to Mechanical areas
· Highlights to superiors irregularities/issues/concerns such as equipment breakdown/malfunction/downtime for appropriate action/decision
· Assists in completion and handover formalities in respect of completed Mechanical infrastructure projects; assists in conducting various acceptance and commissioning tests and issuance of acceptance and payment certificates as per Corporation guidelines and procedures
· Coordinates effectively with Region-Engineering sections to ensure continuity and smooth flow of project operations.
· Collects and analyzes data on project parameters and O&M status of various mechanical systems, equipment and aids; assists in preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly progress reports in order to provide required Management information
· Keeps abreast of new technologies, systems and developments relating to Mechanical equipment, systems and infrastructure
· Undertakes full responsibility of all equipment in his area
· Participates in preparing annual budgets pertaining to capital works, admin capital items, operations and manpower as required
· Supervises and motivates staff to ensure an acceptable level of performance
· Performs any other related duties as required
